We Invite Creativity in Watermedia
Watercolors, acrylics, gouache, casein, egg tempera, and mixed watermedia are accepted into our exhibitions, encouraging a wide variety of artistic expression.
Enter the Annual International Open Exhibition
NWWS Members receive a discounted entry fee for the prestigious NWWS Annual International Open Exhibition. Each fall, this juried exhibition draws entries from around the world.

Eight times a year, we a well-known artist demonstrates various forms of watermedia painting techniques, and materials at our general meeting. These exceptional artists use technology to bring you into their painting world.

Have Your Work Critiqued by a Well Known Artist
NWWS members only may receive a critique from a carefully selected, highly qualified artist / instructor at an NWWS Artist Zoom Room (“AZR”) event. Be a participating artist or simply join as an attendee to learn from the best!
Watch Artist Zoom Room Recordings
Only NWWS members can enjoy watching past recordings of Artist Zoom Room events. Simply log in to the website and watch the recordings as often as you like.
Enjoy Reduced Rates for Painting Workshops
NWWS hosts workshops with a limited number of attendees, taught by prominent, nationally known artists / instructors. Members receive a discounted registration fee to attend these popular educational opportunities. NOTE: The International Open workshop is an in-person event, other NWWS workshops are hosted online.
Enjoy Plein Air Events
The NWWS Plein Air group gathers from spring through autumn at various locations in the Seattle, WA area to paint, enjoy camaraderie, and share the fulfillments of plein air painting.
Attend Samish Island Paint Out
Held 3 times a year, members receive notice of open reservations to attend this 5-day / 4-night retreat in the beautiful Skagit Valley. At Paint Out participants focus on painting, creating, sharing, enjoying excellent meals, camaraderie, and other creative regeneration and exploration.
Participate in the Healing Arts Program at Overlake Hospital
Display and sell your art through the Overlake Hospital Healng Arts Program in Bellevue, WA. Hosted three times per year, all sales proceeds go to you, the NWWS member artist.

For members only, you can share your art, see the work of others, and be in touch with other members everyday through our energetic and supportive Facebook Members’ Page.
