I’ve always had a sense that the trees in the forest around me were speaking, and sometimes to me. I’ve hugged them, painted them, talked to them, and listened. Learning that they do community, are altruistic and help each other, and sustain the life around them confirms their worthiness and magnificence. We cut them down at our own peril.
