In the heat of the summer many of us have enjoyed a cooling dip in a lake or river. The anticipation of the refreshing water rises as one approaches. This is a plein air painting I made in Bulgaria. I was originally going for a pure landscape but my friend's young son captivated me as he played on the opposite bank.
