One of a series of paintings I've done of the long-decommissioned Georgetown Steam Plant in South Seattle. Now on the National Register of Historic Places, the steam plant was built in the early 1900's to supply electricity to Seattle's trolley system. Although it is not currently open to the public, a groups of NWWs plain-air painters got to paint there twice recently. This painting, done in the studio was inspired by the sketches and paintings I did on site, and by photos I took inside this beautiful industrial relic.
