This marine inspired painting began early one morning, while sipping coffee on the aft deck of a friend's yacht. The beauty of the sun and the harbor was reflected in the water, I was mesmerized by the brilliant warm hues and ever-changing reflected shapes. The colors and watery abstracted reflections tantalized my imagination with the prospect of utilizing an adventurous wet into wet process of mingling layers of transparent watercolors in order to create a fusion of representation and abstraction.
