My painting was inspired by a scene of what I have observed at the end of an evening in a bar. I used bright colors to represent the vibrancy and energy as people spend time with friends. I have represented live music in abstract with a piano. I also wanted to show a straggler who may have had a little too much to drink in the foreground. I used primarily watercolor paints on watercolor paper to create this painting. I added gouache with the watercolor paints to create more depth. I used ink pens to show how we are all connected in a scene like this. My painting is a way to remember that connection that we missed out on in the pandemic, but we are slowly returning to find.
