I had a collection of watches I wore to work over the years, and they sat in a drawer as I always carry a cell phone around these days, no "need" for a watch as we get older. Now, I "need" more time to do the things I love, or want to do and "time" is a precious commodity as we age. I always wanted to do something creative with the old watches. Planning this painting took awhile, many arrangements until I was satisfied and then deciding on a background took many turns, finally merging a favorite jacket that I loved the fabric and wore to my sons wedding, so it had a special memory attached.
