In the early part of the 1900's, women collected a variety of sewing tools to create handwork to adorn their homes. Pin cushions, embroidery hoops, and a classic 1914 Singer Phoenix sewing machine helped establish each woman with a collection she could be proud of. To complete a Wedding Quilt which sits under these possessions, was regarded as the ultimate sign that the woman had indeed created a "Happy Home" for her family. This collection includes items from my Mother's collection.
