Rovinj, Croatia is the inspiration for this painting. The symbology of the young woman on the bench watching the grandmother walking toward her goal supported by her daughter and granddaughter moves me. I used similar colors for the shirts of the woman on the bench and the grandmother to hint at the younger self watching the older self, fulfilling a dream. Unseen in this painting, at the top of the hill is St Euphemia Church and a gorgeous view of the sea. Is the grandmother journeying back to the home of her youth or seeing a site she has waited a lifetime to see? Let your imagination take flight. Wishing you the fulfilment of your dreams.
