This is a watercolor & gouache painting. From my feminist viewpoint, mother earth is giving birth to women rising from the land to fight for equal rights. While in a lavender field of poppies a person wanders. Lavender is a color that is often viewed as a symbol of both women’s and LGBTQ+ resistance. This painting supports this viewpoint.
