Water, specifically the ocean, is my favorite subject to paint. It's challenging, always changing and thrilling to try to capture. This painting is based on a favorite activity, hiking to the beach and letting my dog go for a swim. When he shakes the water off, it makes me laugh. My hope is that the viewer will also feel a sense of joy from this painting.
