Medium: Watercolor

Watercolor Batik. Each layer is painted in watercolor on rice paper and then covered up in wax until the entire surface is waxed. The wax is then crinkled and liquid watercolor is pushed into the cracks to produce a batik . Next all the wax is removed . Each piece is unique and a one of a kind. I have worked on this process for years and now give workshops to teach others around the PNW. This September I will be teaching a 3 day Workshop at Sitka on the Oregon Coast.
