This painting is from a photo I took while in the Dominican Republic during Christmas 2020. It was an eerie time because as we were enjoying a tropical family vacation businesses were starting to shutter and streets were closing down due to the News reports of the Corona Virus. I walked down a deserted street and found this abandoned hut on the beach. It was beautiful but deserted. Just like this Island Paradise was becoming. We moved our flights up and caught one of the last taxis out of town to the airport before the noon lockdown.
