I’ve always been an avid artist, even when I was young as my mother also paints and draws. I’d beg her to draw me after getting dressed up, marveling at how she was able to take what she saw and put it on paper. This was always my pushing force that inspired me to pursue art as I always wanted to be as great of an artist as my mother. After getting into SOTA, school of the arts, I immediately took every drawing class I could and even ended up in the senior life drawing class when I was only a junior. Though I was introverted and anxious, I found solace when creating art in my classes and felt a sense of belonging when entering the art studio. While there, I fell in love with print making and learned how to use an array of different mediums, even catching the eye of my art teacher who was known to be hard to please. I graduated with near straight A’s and now attend PLU, double majoring in art and art history after discovering I am just as captivated by learning about ancient art as I am creating art.
