For as long as I can remember I have been interested in drawing and making art. My siblings and I would use drawing to make games and illustrate stories and the comics that we wrote. As I grew and attended school I began to nurture a growing love for watercolor. I went to a private girl school which restricted the students to using watercolors in most of the art classes. As a result I developed my painting skills both inside and outside the classroom. By the time I was in high school I was painting on rocks with acrylic, watching Bob Ross with intention, and attempting to create personal and intentional watercolor artworks on canvases. My true passion for watercolor bloomed in my first semester of North Idaho College. I entered -not really having any clear direction- and thanks to an advisor, was placed into a watercolor class. From then on the rest is history. I completed a collection of all 50 state birds and flowers in recent years, and although there are no classes for watercolors in University of Idaho, I have still managed to create a work or two in the medium since my acceptance.
