The majority of my life has been spent in the Pacific northwest, Washington. I began drawing frequently around seven years old, mainly due to inspiration from very specific media such as the cartoon Sailor Moon, fairy themed art prints by Amy Brown, Hayao Miyazaki movies, and the movie “Labryinth” with David Bowie. These inspirations are apparent in most, if not all, of my art still today. I draw from my experiences in nature and hobby gardening as well, having grown up surrounded by the forests and beaches of the Pacific Northwest. For many years I mainly drew and experimented with mixed media. Since taking art classes in formal education, I’ve realized my true love is painting!
