I was born in Spokane and have lived here my whole life. I was however lucky enough to be able to travel as a kid and I got to visit many museums abroad. This sparked my interest in art history. At home, I would spend a lot of time with my family. I grew up very close to my cousins, one of which is a few years older than me and was interesting in art. I wanted to be just like her so I started to draw too. Being artistic runs in my family. My great grandfather, F.W. Brackett was an oil painter. My senior year of high school I decided to go to Spokane Falls Community College because I heard of their great art program. Here, I have been able to explore new mediums, such as oil paint just like my great grandfather.
