Over the years, I have consistently pushed through the boundaries of creativity by experimenting with different mediums and techniques to develop a personal style. I truly started to get into painting and drawing in middle school when I got sick leading me to be home all the time. I stayed occupied and found peace in painting at my dining room table for hours. I am currently a freshman at Whitworth University, double majoring in Business Marketing and Studio Arts. Not only have I found a passion for watercolor with pen and acrylic but also painting doors with flowers. I want to say that this niche for doors is because I have moved around my whole life, living in 5 different states and 16 different houses. The doors can reflect transformation, and the constant changes I’ve had to persevere through. Along with fine art, I have taken part in remodeling over 4+ houses with my family. The joy I find in creating art and repurposing spaces comes from the ability to transform a blank wall or piece of paper into something beautiful. Expressing my creativity in ways that inspire and uplift people, is what I strive to do with my art.
