I was born in California and moved to Washington with my mom and siblings right before starting elementary school. Even then, I loved drawing and could be found asleep at the table with crayons in hand. Although art has always been a part of my life, I had many other passions I wanted to pursue. I played three instruments, participated in athletics, and did well in school, graduating as valedictorian. All these possibilities made it tough to choose a path after high school. Ultimately, I could not imagine being anything but an artist.
Attending my dream college, DigiPen, has dramatically increased my appreciation of the arts. It is truly a privilege to be able to study my passion, so I want to make the most of my time in school. Seeing people enjoy the films and games I made brings me so much joy. It fuels my desire to be diligent and create even more. My ideal career is to work on traditionally animated films, but anywhere I can make art and tell stories is fine by me. I cannot wait to work in the industry and have my art bring together an even larger audience.
