I have always created art ever since I was really young. Being very shy when I was younger, I found art as an outlet. A place where I could express everything and something that really developed me as a person. I feel like I’ve never lost that childlike feeling of curiosity and creativity which I use in all my pieces. This feeling is one of the key contributors to wanting to try every medium. Throughout my life, I’ve tried so many different mediums from woodburning to printmaking to ceramics. Others I have pursued more as time has gone on but I always want to keep exploring. I actually made greeting cards for a long time and sold them at a local grocery store for a bit while also going to many craft shows. School has really allowed me to try new things that I couldn’t necessarily afford or have access to. In middle school, I was able to try relief printmaking for the first time and fell in love with the process. Fast forward to college and I’ve taken multiple printmaking classes, now knowing of the various methods that one can do and in my free time continuing this medium. I also have entered and won a lot of different art contests throughout the years as well as being selected to be published at school for different magazines.
