Hi! I’m Carina Taylor, it is very nice to meet you.
I am originally from Seattle, Washington! When I was a baby my family moved to northern Utah, to a town called Farmington, and then back to Seattle when I was 12 years old. Some of my oldest memories are creating art! For as long as I’ve been able to hold a marker I’ve loved drawing, and every introduction to a new medium was a world opening up. During my growing up years, my household was sometimes turbulent, and while we were physically stable for the most part, I struggled mentally and emotionally. Art was something that consistently made me the happiest, and was a way to stand out as a bright spot amongst everything that was going on. In my more recent years, I’ve found art to be a means to change the world, and to change the lives of individuals. I was blessed to find my life’s calling as an art educator, and I have been striving for that goal since the end of high school! I was able to earn my associates degree during my junior and senior years of high school through classes at Bellevue College in Washington, and then attended Montana State University for a year. I served as a missionary for Jesus Christ in Houston, Texas, and I’m currently a student at BYU-I! I’m excited to continue to serve my community wherever I go.
