This is a scene I have seen many times running around the hills of Wyoming and Montana with my fly rod, my dog and a desire to find somewhere undiscovered to fish. I am intrigued how the sunlight filters thru the leaves and shines off the fallen trees which may have gone barkless over time. Also their branch patterns become quite visible when contrasted against the light reflecting in the water. I am probably reaching a point upstream where the creek is crystalline, spring fed and too sterile to support fish but is incredibly beautiful and unforgettable .
