With electronic media, it’s possible that the love letter has all but disappeared from our modern experience. But I remember such a time, and I remember a page torn from a notebook, on which were spelled out dreams and longing for a loved one near or far away. These declarations of love, especially committed to paper, carry the highest degree of vulnerability. As a lover of paper, I can’t help but fold, doodle on and cherish each piece that comes my way. Imagining a love letter from my young boyfriend, I captured the folding, doodling and cherishing that I used to do.
