Theatre Row #7 is one in a series of painting from an original drawing from my memory of Elm Street in Downtown Dallas in the '50s. At the age of 7 I used to take the streetcar downtown to dance classes by my self. It was an exciting time. I had no pictures to go by but memories served me well. This particular rendition of Elm Street was a pouring with watercolors. I saved the original drawing on index paper and used in several paintings in different sizes, techniques, platforms and colors. I wrote a book about my experiences growing up in Dallas with my many paintings from my memories to preserve many areas torn down preserved titled, "Once Upon A Time in Dallas, Through the Artist's Eyes" in 2005.
