"Slow Day on Airport Wy." is part of a series of paintings of Georgetown, Seattle's Oldest Neighborhood. I had driven through the neighborhood many times, but never really stopped and looked--until I painted there en-plein air for the first time in 2019 with a group of NWWS painters. I've painted in Georgetown half-a-dozen times since. However, this painting, larger than those I painted on location, was done in the studio.
