Sea Turtles are a keystone species to the ocean ecosystem. They control jellyfish populations and remove overgrowing algae and sponges from coral reefs. They graze on seagrass, creating healthy meadows that are crucial sources of oxygen. I spotted this turtle while scuba diving on the island of Guam. This painting shows this sea turtle in its natural environment with a few tropical fish.
