Remember being four was inspired by a brief encounter of an idle moment of an energetic, young boy. I painted this portrait of my grandson Jack Alden from a photograph I took when he was age 4. This is a studio painting, as it was too hot to go outdoors in July of 2022. The background was created as an experiment of flooding bold greens into clear water.
