I painted the Apse of Notre Dame, Paris with a warm and luminous glow to evoke my fondness of this exquisite cathedral that suffered horrific fire damage in 2019. I chose to paint the trees to echo the shades of the cathedral and give the painting an ethereal effect as the structure rises to the heavens.
