This painting was done in a park setting painted in plein air at Lower Park, McMinnville, OR. I joined a local group of watercolorists who took some time out one lovely morning to paint at this beautiful park. Shade and sunlight lead the viewer to the turquoise pole barn in the distance. My motivation was the light dancing on the lawn and the picnic area with turquoise roof. Painting outside has it's challenges and in the morning the sun seems to move quickly. I just love trying to keep up with the beauty of nature.
