We excitedly welcome Tere Lojero who will she share the vibrant colors of Mexico and the liquid
loveliness of her paintings during this 3-hour class.
You will learn how Tere approaches cityscapes. She will explain her process, starting with a
sketch to set the main shapes and the light of the scene, and then how she executes the final
painting in watercolor.
Stages in the Course:
Participants will receive a reference image in tie to prepare the drawing before the workshop.
At the beginning, there will be an explanation of how the sketch allows you to have the first
visual study of the painting, to translate the idea of a scene onto the paper, find the light, and
indicate the main shapes in the scene.
Then the painting begins. Tere will talk about color, the main mixes she often uses. She will
explain the importance of synthesizing shapes and analyzing the elements of a cityscape. The
painting will be on wet paper but with some interventions on dry paper, and will the additions of
different brush strokes to give vibrancy to the work.
