Catherine Gill brings her experiences as an instructor and accomplished artist to February’s AZR, with a focus on color harmony. Her supportive critiques will guide artists to consider harmony, value, color changes, complements, and much more. She will provide photo references and a thorough syllabus for those wishing to have their work critiqued. You may use the provided reference photos or paint from your own photos. Catherine lives an exciting, challenging, sometimes balanced and always fun life. Her energies go into exploring artistic creativity teaching. She has lived in the Pacific Northwest for over 30 years, painting and teaching on location in mixed media, watercolor, oil, pastel, and printmaking. Her classrooms include homeless shelters, museums, art centers, studios, beaches, parking lots, boats, kayaks, forests, and Zoom rooms from her studio, with workshops across the U.S. and internationally.

Involved in the arts community, Catherine is co-founder of Art Partners International, dedicated to bringing together artists and the art of different cultures. She is a member of Northwest Watercolor Society, Women Painters of Washington, Plein Aire Painters of Washington, Seattle CoArts, Seattle Print Arts and Print Arts NW.

Her excellent book on landscape painting, “Powerful Watercolor Landscapes” (with writer Beth Mean) is now available as an EBook. Her work can also be found in “Art Journey America” and a 9 page article on plein aire painting in Watercolor Artist Magazine (June 2018)

An excellent instructor in several mediums, you may find her workshop schedule and instructional DVD information on her website.
