Don Andrews’ unique work is the explosion of watercolor’s beautiful fluidity that only a master’s skill and confidence can create when putting brush to paper. His stunning figurative work and landscape pieces glow because he guides the watercolor, not tames it.
Don is nationally known and a fabulous workshop instructor, having conducted workshops throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Africa for over 35 years. He teaches live classes (Zoom) and has numerous videos available online.
He is an active member and past board director of the American Watercolor Society. His paintings have deservedly received numerous awards in national watercolor competitions, including three awards from the American Watercolor Society, and two “Best of Show” awards from the New England Watercolor Society.
Also an author, Don is the author of the books, “Interpreting the Figure in Watercolor”, “Interpreting the Landscape in Watercolor” and “Rough Sketches: Short Stories of a Traveling Artist”.
