Description:

With Jan Min, Instructor and Artist.

Jan Min, a dedicated watercolorist knows for his sensitive, atmospheric landscapes, cityscapes, seascapes and waterscapes, shares with you how he creates paintings with a poetic atmosphere, something like a daydream.

In this 3 hour workshop, Jan explains the use of warm and cool colors, the use of various tonal values, and how to create shadows in the right way. As he demonstrates these important considerations, you’ll have a greater understanding of their importance as key shapes to your composition.

What makes a good composition? How can you make your painting much more interesting than just painting what you see? How can you take what is presented to your and turn it into a special piece of art?

Working from reference images can be very successful, and Jan will help you learn to translate your reference images by creating a more simplified subject. This, in turn, translates the mood and atmosphere of your painting effectively to a higher effect and enjoyment to you as an artist and to the viewer.

There will be examples and recommendations to illustrate these and other key points to success.

Library recordings are the full 3 hours of the original workshop. With the suggested supplies at hand, you can immerse yourself in this workshop experience.

A valuable workshop for all skill levels.
