Escaping into the Madison Primitive Area in a snowstorm with my fly rod was a favorite escape of mine and an experience in beautiful solitude. Often my tracks were the only ones on the trail and the my remnants might still be there from a few weeks earlier. The sun would burst thru the passing, snowing clouds and light up the world around me in a stunning array of colors and wonder. 40 years later I am still wandering the trail in my mind and sharing my experiences thru my paintings.
