DESCRIPTION:START TIME: 6:00 (Pacific time)\nBill Hook came to the world of fine art after a rewarding career as an architect and highly regarded architectural Illustrator based in Seattle. A turning point in his art career occurred in 2007 when he was awarded a two month residency in the tiny village of Civita di Bagnoregio\, Italy. This gave him the opportunity to explore his own fine art interests without the constraints of illustration and pressure of deadlines. \nHis architectural background continues to influence his current artwork. A consistent thread in his work shows his love of industrial structures and environments that coexist in the background of our daily lives. Of particular interest is exploring times when the environment is in transition. There is a dynamic energy during construction or demolition that he finds intriguing and captures in his dynamic compositions filled with texture and strength\, capturing the fleeting images that will never be experienced again after the projects are completed or destroyed.

DESCRIPTION:REGISTRATION BEGINS SEPTEMBER 15\, 2026\nWORKSHOP: NOVEMBER 14\, 2026 FROM 10:00 am – 1:00 pm (Pacific) \n \nWorkshops International is honored to bring the immense artistic talent of Peruvian Jorge Corpuna to NWWS. \nIn this workshop\, Jorge will guide your exploration of the natural landscape with a more “sublime” vision created by the possibilities of water\, pigment\, paper and technique variations giving you freedom and expression. \nExplore the workshop’s materials list to learn more. \nMuch of his award-winning work is inspired by the indigenous origins of Peruvian watercolor. The chromatic harmony in his atmospheric landscapes conveys the deep respect that he has for the grandeur of the Andes. Jorge’s rich\, atmospheric paintings highlight the sacred energy of this region with vibrant color – revealing panoramas that are both universal and intimate. \nAs always\, there are a limited number of seats and we expect this workshop to quickly fill up.
