Painting was executed en plein air at Bartlett Arboretum in Stamford, CT. I entered this one because glass green houses are so pleasurable to see, uniting architecture with flora. The materials I used were gouache on archival mat board. I toned the mat board first with acrylic color. I like to make my representation lyrical. I want it to be alive with both rhythm and color. I want to catch the emotions I feel at the time of making the painting. Painting is framed size: 16.25" x 20.25"
