DESCRIPTION:APRIL 23\, 2024 – We are excited to bring the energy and enthusiasm of Jared Cullum to NWWS! \nMEETING START TIME: 7:00 (Pacific time) \nJared Cullum is a Reuben Award (Best Graphic Novel) winning | 2-time Eisner Comic Industry Award nominated Author-Cartoonist and painter of things. \nExceptionally creative\, Jared excels as a writer\, illustrator\, fine artist\, instructor\, and award winning comic illustrator. Jared will share his love of gouache and its close cousin\, watercolor\, at the NWWS April general meeting. \nJared has written or created concept art for many major studios such as IDW and Jim Henson Productions\, records watermedia demos for Patreon subscribers\, and records traditional painting demos for his own YouTube channel\, “Jared Loves to Draw”. His debut graphic novel\, “Kodi” received a Reuben Award for Best Graphic Novel and has been translated into multiple languages.\nJared is currently working on the sequel to his award-winning debut graphic novel\, Kodi. \nBorn in Tennessee\, Jared is currently settled with his wife and children in Pittsburgh\, PA.

Hansen as she teaches energetic\, expressive\, acrylic painting techniques. For those who are excited to break out of creating tight\, detail-oriented paintings\, this fun class will help turn your focus to movement\, large shapes\, and textures using brushes and alternative tools. \nLimitlessly versatile\, acrylic paint provides us with the ability to layer\, remove\, and reveal with very little dry time\, making it the perfect medium for experimentation and expression. Silicone wedges\, palette knives\, impasto brushes\, and random objects will be used to creatively shape landscape elements.
