Bimonthly newsletter, "Hot Press"
The newsletter includes information on workshops and opportunities to enter juried shows, profiles of members, details of upcoming programs and speakers, recognition of members' accomplishments, photographs and more.
Monthly educational meetings
These gatherings feature lectures and demonstrations on all forms of watermedia painting. They are always held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 2650 148th Avenue SE, Bellevue, WA. Talented artists demonstrate various forms of watermedia painting or show slide presentations. The use of new materials is often presented in conjuction with our friends in the art supply world.
Painting workshops
Held twice a year, painting workshops are taught by prominent, nationally known instructors. These special events, which are open to the public, are advertised first to members, who can participate at a reduced rate. This is an important benefit as workshops have a limited enrollment.
Visual library
A library of instructional video tapes and DVD's is available to members. Videos allow members to study those topics of more specific interest to them as they learn at their own pace.
Reduced entry fees
Members entering the Annual Open Exhibition pay a reduced fee.
Entrance in Annual Juried Show
Members only are eligible to enter Waterworks, the Society's annual juried show.
