The Northwest Watercolor Society was founded in Seattle, Washington, in 1939 to promote an interest in and an appreciation for watercolor as an artistic medium.
The society expanded in 1992 to include members across the United States and Canada. Since then, NWWS has grown steadily in membership numbers and status, earning a position as one of the ten most prominent regional societies in North America as ranked by "The Artist's Magazine".
The NWWS is dedicated to the artistic growth of its members and to being a major artistic resource in the Northwest.

Our meeting space is located right off 148th Avenue SE and can easily be reached from I-405 and I-90. Ample parking is provided. Meetings are held the 4th Tuesday of every month. There are no meetings June, July, August or December. Meetings start at 6:45 p.m. with social time followed by a brief business meeting at 7:15 p.m. The program starts right after the business meeting and concludes at 9:00 p.m.
