The camp is at the lovely Church of Christ campgrounds just outside Bow and Edison, about an hour and a half drive from Seattle.
It's going to be a fun-filled, fantastic five days! All you have to do is paint and talk and eat - the cooking is done for us, and this year we've hired people to stack the tables and chairs and do clean up on Sunday. You'll just have to clean your own room.
The camp is a wonderful space - think Girl Scout camp when you were young. There's room in the lodge so everyone has half a table to call their own. Your painting equipment can stay set up throughout the entire stay. The camp is right on the beach, which provides wonderful opportunities for plein air painting if the weather co-operates. And it usually does.
Camp officially starts at 6:00 pm, but plan to have dinner before you come, as no dinner is served the first night. Dessert is served about 7:00, so do leave room for that! If you want to arrive early on Thursday or Friday, dinner or lunch can be added at an extra $10 cost each.
There are two choices of accommodations: 16 newer cabins with attached baths; and the older individual cabins which are freestanding and require a trip to the bathrooms. The newer cabins book quickly, but you can put your name on a waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis.
