NWWS FALL 2010 PAINT OUT
SAMISH ISLAND CAMP
The 3rd annual Fall Samish Island Camp Paint Out is scheduled for September 22nd thru Sunday September 26th. We would like to invite you all to join us for this wonderful, relaxing, and fun event! Samish Camp, for those of you who would be newcomers, is located on Samish Bay in Northwestern Washington, about an hour and a half drive from Seattle. The views are majestic, and the island with oyster beds, heron rookery, wonderful shoreline and surrounding waters, is a lovely and peaceful environment. Please, no children or pets, and liquor is not allowed on the premises.
Both beginners and experienced painters are allowed. In fact, you need not be a painter at all, or a member of Northwest Watercolor Society, to attend. There are many other enjoyments at camp or in the surrounding area, to show anyone a grand time. Oh, and one last thing to entice you, the food is 5 stars!!!!
There are twelve cabins with adjoining baths. These cabins are the first to fill up and they are given on a first registered, first serve basis, with preference given to those with handicaps. The regular cabins are basic, with bunks, heat and light. The bathroom facilities are a short walk away. There are enough cabins that everyone can have their own. However, since there are several beds in each cabin, lots of people choose to share with friends. The costs are stated on the registration form and they include all lodging and meals. Arrival time is after 6 pm, either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Dessert will be served after arrival time each evening. Did I mention that the food is fantastic?
Each camper needs to bring their own bedding. Dress for the Northwest – cool, misty, hot, sunny, in other words, anything can happen!!!!
We will send out an email in early September to registrants, giving directions, maps and what to bring.
This year we will have to charge an extra $10.00 for registration after September 12th.
One last detail, the food is fabulous!!
